Plug Into Power

A few days ago my mom was mowing the garden. She had just finished mowing part of the garden when the mower stopped. She tried to start it but it never did. Why would it not start? Because the battery had died. My dad and I had to bring the charger out and some extension cords to try to charge up the battery so we could start the mower.

We had just gotten out everything and hooked up all of the cords and equipment, or so I thought. We tried to start the battery charger but it would not start. Then I went back to check if I had plugged the extension cord into the outlet. Sure enough, I had not plugged it in. I needed to plug it into power. Without power, I couldn't charge the battery for the mower. And without the battery, the mower wouldn't work.

It's the same thing with us today. We all need to plug into God's power. But you say, "How do we plug into God's power? He has no power outlet." Oh, but yes He does. His power outlet is the Bible and prayer. So when we need to charge up our spiritual batteries, we need to go to God in prayer or read the Bible. Let's remember this to plug into power every day by reading His Word!
