Trust in God

How can "Trust in God" be a doctor? Well, first things first, what is trust? Trust is relying on someone and having faith that they will do what they promised. When we trust God, we are believing that he will do what he has promised. When we trust in someone else instead of trying to figure out our own problems, we stress less.

How can we trust in God?

  1. Read the Bible every day - Reading God's Word will help us understand His will for our lives, and we will slowly start to give our worries to Him. When we read how He kept his promises to other people in the past, we will start to trust Him more and more.

  2. Pray - When we pray, we are getting closer to our LORD. When we get closer to Him, we start trusting Him more and more. You can talk to God in prayer as if He is your friend.

  3. Bible Promises - When we memorize and reflect on Bible promises we feel that God is closer to us, and will protect us. We start trusting Him the more and more we memorize and reflect on Bible promises.

  4. Observe God in Nature - Notice how God takes care of the things in nature, how He provides beautiful things for our enjoyment, how creative our great God really is!

Bible = Love Letter & Instruction Manual - The Bible is full of true stories of how God led and protected His People in the past. Stories like when He saved the Children of Israel from the Egyptians, when God sent an angel to shut the lions' mouths to save Daniel, and when Jesus came to live with humanity to show us God's love in person. If he had that much love for people in past times and God doesn't change (Malachi 3:6), you can be sure He loves you that much too.

The Bible is also an instruction manual. Just like cameras and dishwashers and lawn mowers come with instruction manuals to help you know how they work, we come with a manual, called The Bible. In it we can find lots of great instructions for life and if we study it carefully and put what we read into practice, we will have joy and satisfaction in life that we never though was possible. Learning how to trust God now prepares us to trust God for eternity.
