Cashew Gravy

Ingredients

Blend:

  • ½ c. water

  • ½ c. raw cashews, rinsed

  • ¼-0.33 c. cornstarch or arrowroot powder

  • 3-4 Tbsp. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (or soy sauce or a bouillon cube, or more salt to taste)

  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder

  • ½ tsp. sea salt


Place above in a pot, add:

  • 4 c. additional water


(may add grated carrot, diced onions, diced celery, diced or sliced mushrooms)

Directions

Stir in pot over medium - medium-high heat till thickened.

Gravy is even nicer when added to sautéed mushrooms and onions + any other add-ins you want.

I eat this gravy over rice or biscuits.
